This incredibly soft and cozy funnel-neck sweater, handknitted in 100% merino wool, is the perfect pale sky blue, and a cold-weather staple you will keep & wear forever. You will cherish it even more knowing it was the handiwork of an artisan woman who, through knitting, has full-time employment and financial independence for herself and her family.  To create this piece, I worked with woman-led organization Knit One Change One (KOCO), who established a partnership with women in rural villages of Tamil Nadu southern India.  The education and employment for women starts a new economic cycle in every village KOCO sets up these hand-knitting hubs. The flow-on benefits to the community are limitless. 

There is no machine intervention, no waste and no carbon footprint. Each sweater comes with a tag that tells the story of the woman who knitted it.
